Somasundaram Dilli Raj, is the corporate Advisor of our Company. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Vivekananda College, Chennai and Masters in Business Administration from the Central University of Pondicherry. He has mor than 30 years of experience in corporate finance, treasury, policy advocacy and corporate tax planning. He has consummated joint venture deals with global companies. His last assignment was as President – Bharat Financial Inclusion Ltd (formerly known as SKS Microfinance). He joined SKS in 2008 when it was a small unlisted NBFC. As the then CFO, he prepared SKS for its IPO over 1 ½ years by establishing a strong Financial System with Digital CMS, Audit Quality Improvement, robust Financial Reporting, ERP implementation and Diversified Investor Base & Credit Grantors pool. SKS’s IPO, first for the Indian MFI sector was oversubscribed by 13.6X at $ 1.5 bn. SKS became the first MFI to issue mainstream financial instruments like CPs, NCDs, Rated Pass-through certificates, Mosaic and raised incremental debt exceeding ₹25,000 crores during his tenure. SKS’s financial system withstood the pressure of AP MFI crisis. SKS stood outside CDR and still met all financial obligations in a timely manner. Share price increased from ₹55 to ₹1,000 + post the turnaround in which he played a strategic role via outreach with Key Policy Makers & Regulators. SKS repositioned itself as BFIL with growth in Reputation capital.
